Shows
Critter Castaways:
When our expert animal trainers turned their attention toward some rescued and shelter animals in need of a home, a show was born, along with quite a few four-legged and feathered stars. Using the same sort of encouragement-based training philosophy our animal trainers use throughout our parks, a cast of unlikely characters comes together to create a side-splitting show with surprise twists that will have the whole family laughing from beginning to end. Dogs and cats, ducks and doves, potbellied pigs and a few surprise animal stars entertain guests with a spectacular tribute to the human/animal connection and just how much fun it can be. Enjoy Critter Castaways at the Garden Theater, located in Bird Gardens.
Mystic Sheiks of Morocco:
This traveling band of instrumentalists is always a favorite among park visitors. The Mystic Sheiks of Morocco have been a symbol of Busch Gardens since the 1970s and serve as ambassadors for the adventure park at special events and media appearances around the world. With their sparkling red and gold uniforms, the eight-piece marching brass ensemble dazzles children and adults alike with a blend of music, dance and spirited singing. Whether interacting with a crowd of children during one of their daily sidewalk shows or performing a special waltz for guests celebrating a golden anniversary, the Sheiks' charm radiates throughout the park. The Mystic Sheiks of Morocco play at various locations around the park, including Zagora Cafe.
Dance to the Music:
It's time to put on your "Boogie Shoes" and ask yourself, "Do you remember?" as Busch Gardens Tampa Bay presents an all-new stage spectacular, Dance to the Music. This '70s-themed song-and-dance disco show will be movin' and groovin' at the Desert Grill from April 29 through November 15. With the help of a high-energy cast of six dancers and four vocalists, Dance to the Music asks audiences to "Hustle" down memory lane and revisit everything from the iconic clothes to the iconic people and, of course, the unforgettable music that helped shape the popular tunes of today. Dance to the Music offers 3 to 5 performances daily at the Desert Grill and is included with any Busch Gardens daily admission or annual pass.
Pirates 4-D:
Timbuktu Theater has set the stage for one of the funniest, family-friendly 4-D films ever to hit the high seas: Pirates. Comic genius Leslie Nielsen stars as Captain Lucky, a misfit pirate leading a hapless crew and his loyal first mate, Pierre (played by Eric Idle, author of the show), on a side-splitting adventure. Pirates brings the latest special-effect technology together with multi-sensory theatrical effects to keep the audience guessing what might happen next. Climb aboard for a comical adventure filled with a shipload of excitement and surprises. See Pirates 4-D at the 4D Timbuktu Theater.
Darren Romeo:
Darren Romeo, the voice of magic presented by Siegfried and Roy, returns to Busch Gardens this summer with his captivating mix of magic and music in the Moroccan Palace.
Rock a Doo Wop:
We roll up our jean legs and slick down our hair daily to put on the coolest show in the park. Staged at Marrakesh Theater, this rollicking rock show features the greatest hits of the '50s and '60s. Guests will enjoy favorite songs like "This Magic Moment" and "Sherry" as they travel back in time to the doo wop era. Eight singers and dancers bring it all to life with fun costumes and entertaining routines. The stars of Rock A Doo Wop perform at the Marrakesh Theater.
KaTonga:
This elegant and inspiring show delivers 35 minutes of spectacles, songs and a rich tapestry of color and sound. KaTonga takes you on a journey to the heart of Africa in a musical celebration of animal folklore. It follows a day in the lives of aspiring storytellers, called Griots, as they strive to become masters of this ancient art. To accomplish this rite of passage, the performers evoke traditional African stories that mesmerize and entertain. Masterful costume design, magical folklore, energetic original music and spectacular African-inspired dance combine to create a performance that will leave you cheering for more. Enjoy "KaTonga: Musical Tales From the Jungle" at the Moroccan Palace Theater.
